Hardeveld flowers
Tuesday, September 11th, 2007The masses of annuals in the Hardeveld are at their peak and slowly going downhill. However, the mesembryanthemum with their huge variety of pink, mauve, cerise, bright red and deep red are starting to flower and we expect mass displays of these within the next two weeks. A good route for a variety of flowers from different regions are Klawer-Vredendal-Lutzville-Koekenaap-Nuwerus-Bitterfontein-Rietpoort-Molsvle i-Stofkraal-Garies-Leliefontein-Kamieskroon OR Start of route same up to Bitterfontein, as above and then, Kliprand-Paulshoek-Leliefontein-Kamieskroon OR Route same as above up to Vredendal and then; Vanrhynsdorp-Nieuwoudtville-Loeriesfontein-Kliprand-Paulshoek-Leliefontein-K amieskroon-Garies-Bitterfontein-Stofkraal-Molsvlei-Rietpoort-Bitterontein All three of these routes take you criss-cross over the N7 and allow you to see beautiful places you would have missed if you kept just to the main road, as well as a variety of flowers. The weather forecast for Vredendal and surroundings are partially cloudy with a small chance of rain up till Saturday the 15th of September 2007. Monday, September 10th, 2007Flowers Sarrisam
Tuesday, September 4th, 2007Dear All, Still very spectacular in and around Sarrisam farm although we can do with some warmer weather. Reports from Skilpad also good but going down slowly. Lots of tiny flowers in the veld but you won’t see them if you do not stop often, go down on your knees and observe. Go slow..enjoy and be relaxed.
